Exciting Changes to the NNYSHL Southern Conference
Here’s how the new season will work:
Each team will aim to play 10 regular season games against local opponents, regardless of “division” designation.
A team may only count games against the same opponent up to three times toward their 10-game season total.
Following the February 11th MyHockeyRankings release, the league will use those rankings to guide competitive placement for playoffs.
At the conclusion of the season, the league will organize festival-style playoff tournaments, featuring groups of four or five teams (depending on participation at each age level). We would like to include all teams in this tournament.
Key Dates:
Playoffs will begin on Thursday, March 5th
Championships will conclude on Sunday, March 8th
Action Item: Please ensure that all home league games are added to the NNYSHL website no later than November 1st so that schedules remain accurate and up to date.
